Mother Mary is always available for prayer – the statue sits below windows with scenes of the Joyful Mysteries.
The church has four very colorful stained-glass windows on either side of the main altar. The windows depict scenes from the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary. The two windows on the left side are the first two Joyful Mysteries: The Annunciation and The Visitation. On the right of the altar are the last two Joyful Mysteries: The Presentation and The Finding of Jesus in the Temple. Of course, the third Joyful Mystery, the Birth of Jesus is shown in the Nativity Scene over the altar.
A lovely statue of a Mary and Baby Jesus with the words “Ave Maria” overhead and two angels at their sides is located to the right of the altar. Mary is wearing a sari and golden crown, and Baby Jesus is dressed in colorful garb, also with a golden crown. A lighted Rosary is also sometimes present in the hands of Baby Jesus. The Shrine is decorated with flowers and ribbons for Feasts and special occasions. This Shrine, too, is a popular spot for prayer and darshan, although it is separated from the prayerful by a metal rail, so the faithful cannot touch the statue.
