Resurrection Church, Bangalore, India

The Resurrection Church is an oasis surrounded by traffic on a bustling corner in Indiranagar just across the street from the Swami Vivekananda Metro station.

The large compound houses a modern architecture structure and has ample parking shaded by large trees for attendees.  The open-air Church has a beautiful altar and several very nice statues/shrines.  There are Masses in several languages on Sunday and the celebrations are beautiful with welcoming parishioners.  The church also has a 6 am and 6 pm daily Mass and is open through the day, for peaceful, private prayer.

Once inside the gates of the compound, the peacefulness of the environment takes hold and allows refocus on the sacred inside and out of the church building.  The modern architecture church sits across from the Swami Vivekananda Metro station at the corner of Swami Vivekananda Road (Old Madras Road) and 80 feet Road.  Within the church compound is a life-size representation of the Grotto of Lourdes, as well as an administrative building. There is ample space on the side and the front of the church in the paved compound shaded by large trees which can be used as parking; or for people on a crowded occasion such as a Feast Day or Wedding.

The long, rectangular church is topped by a tent-like white steeple with a cross on top; and next to the front entrance is a free-standing bell tower holding a 93 kg bronze bell acquired with parishioner donations in 1989. The front entrance has a blue grill with white crosses outlining the two doors and a red cross on the top of the entrance.  The side window grills are also are adorned with crosses; as are the side doors.
