The patron of the parish, Saint Francis Xavier’s statue stands on a side altar with six squared columns topped with ornate gilded capitals along the back wall.
Over the shrine is a white, half-dome ceiling and decorative edging with the words, “Saint Francis Xavier Pray for Us”. The statue of the great saint is dressed in a black cassock and white overgarment trimmed in gold and blue. He wears a gold stole adorned with four-bladed crosses; and around his neck are decorative garlands. His right arm is raised and in his left is a small crucifix. His gaze is one of a missionary appeal. A relic of St. Francis Xavier was obtained with the consent of the Most Rev. Dr. Filip Neri Ferrao, Archbishop of Goa and Daman. It was installed on May 22nd, 2009 and is part of this altar.
